Beginner-friendly reading resources

Two of the beginner-friendly websites I found, where you can memorize all the hiragana and katakana and on the way of learning more vocabularies and grammar.

  1. Crunchy Nihongo

There are seven short tales on Japanese story, which is at N5 level, with particles highlighted plus sentence-by-sentence translation. Not much, but a good place to start.

2. NHK News Easy

Slightly harder than Crunchy Nihongo but has the benefit of new vocabs (underlined according to Japanese level on app) while reading. Useful to keep up with current news and happenings as well. There’s also an app which have more function, even providing translation when you highlight certain phrases.
